EUPSA Young Investigators Award

To stimulate research, the EUPSA has instituted two prizes for the best paper on topics on clinical or laboratory research in paediatric surgery presented by young investigators at the Annual Meeting of the European Paediatric Surgeons Association.

Candidates for the prize must:

1. Be the first author of the paper

2. Be under 35 years of age

3. Present unpublished work not previously presented at a major scientific meeting.

4. Submit a covering letter from the head of the department or laboratory in the institution at which the research program was undertaken indicating the originality of the investigation and the proportion of work performed by the candidate.

5. Clearly mark the entry on the transmittal form accompanying the abstract.

Authors of the eight best abstracts in the EUPSA Young Investigators Award category will be invited to give oral presentations and also submit 10 complete copies of the manuscripts for final review by the Young Investigators Award Committee.

The Committee will make a selection and recommendation following the presentation of all papers and the authors whose abstracts, manuscript and presentation is judged most outstanding will receive an award of € 1,000,-- and a certificate.
