This is the third Town Hall, built between 1406 to 1415 in the late Gothic style. It had already been used in 1414. The two Council chambers on the upper floors, the grand one and the small one are still used for the meetings of the City council and the Government of the Canton of Berne.

Tour Bernese Alps, Thursday, June 3rd:

Already twenty films have been produced in the James Bond 007 adventure series, but remaining one of the most memorable sequences of the famous spy series is the assault on the snow capped Alps peak fortress of villain Ernst Stavros Blofeld in “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. The film was shot on location at Schilthorn in the Jungfrau region of central Switzerland’s Bernese Oberland in 1967. The incredible views of the mighty Alps have attracted mountain lovers to this mountain top restaurant and viewing platform ever since. The cable car aerial lift to the planned Schiltorn restaurant had run out of money when the Bond film was being planned. The Broccoli & Saltzman film company agreed to finance the completion of the cable tramway in exchange for exclusive filming.
Paul Klee Museum, Friday, June 4th:

On June 20th 2005 the Zentrum Paul Klee opened its doors to visitors interested in art and to art lovers from all over the world. At the heart of this new cultural institution is the artist Paul Klee (1879–1940), his life and his work. Today Paul Klee, who was also a musician, teacher and poet, ranks as one of the 20th century’s most significant artists. The Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern, where the artist spent a half of his life, is a monument of international renown and a personal tribute to Paul Klee himself.
Bernese Fountains, Saturday, June 5th: The streets of Berne display many fountains which were all built around the mid fifteenth century. Each one of them has a different story behind it. Find out the story of the “Kindlifresser”, a dwarf who ate children or the story of Anna Seiler, the lady who donated her property for our University Hospital 655 years ago. Discover the Berchtold fountain, the Sampson fountain, the Venner fountain, the Shützen Fountain the Piper fountain and at the end take the opportunity to be one of the fountain figures yourself.
